Here you can get married in a Catholic ceremony at the Hermitage Montesiepi situated on a hill overlooking the Val di Merse, or in a civil ceremony in the Abbey of San Galgano.

The Abbey of San Galgano is a Chistercian abbey, located about thirty kilometers from Siena, in the municipality of Chiusdino.

The impressive work, which began in 1218 and ended in 1288. As already mentioned the Abbey of San Galgano in Valdimerse is one of the most interesting examples of Gothic Cistercian and one of the most important doors that allowed entrance to Gothic art in Italy.
The complex consists of the famous church "homeless" and a building that runs along the south transept, and which is all that remains of the Abbey. In this building were located the sacristy, the parlor, the scriptorium, the chapter house, the store, and above, the dormitory and the chapel.
Because of its great historical and artistic importance, the Abbey of San Galgano deserved a very different fate than that to it by time, neglect favorite man. The massive ruins of the Abbey, now cleaned, restored and illuminated, immersed in solemn silence, and the sword in the stone, gathered and protected from the wonderful hermitage, can surprise the visitor, speaking to his soul, to stir in his heart an intimate emotion and in his intellect fanciful images.
